when i wake up and go, “yeah! i like to play that guitar, there. i like to sing. hey, i might even write a song toda—oh wait. i’m not david bazan. i can’t write good, honest songs like it’s nothing. darn it. i suppose i’ll go on a bike ride, then.” :P
i have never been more proud of something in my life. i’m actually beginning to make the music i want to make and write the songs i want to sing. and michael kerley is there filming it and making it all look beautiful. enjoy. i hope you do. because i do. so much. this is the first of three. it’s called vows. i’m stoked.
I’m immensely proud of this track and immensely proud of its inclusion in IVM’s new compilation. Indie Vision has supported me since I was a 16-year-old making mediocre Eps in my room, and their encouragement and promotion has played a poignant part in ushering me into wherever Sinai Vessel as a band and personal project is today. This is my favorite song I’ve ever written, hands down. It communicates everything I want to do as an artist and songwriter, and I can’t wait to share it with you. Go stream it!
